Westwide Electrical first traded in 1974 as Statewide Holdings. This was later changed to Westwide Electrical Services

and most major Western Australian builders and electrical engineers.
Westwide Electrical is owned and operated by John Sweeting.
Westwide Electrical services first started doing small government work (e.g. schools) before graduating to small to medium commercial and industrial projects.
The first commercial projects were worth approximately $100,000 and industrial, anything from $5,000 - $500,000.
Westwide Electrical Services has continued to grow from small beginnings turning over approximately $500,000 per annum, to a peak of approximately $10 million per annum Westwide Electrical Services commenced trading with a workforce of 4 tradesmen, 1 office assistant and 1 manager. Over the years the workforce has fluctuated according to workload, reaching a peak of 90.
